- are very low hazard and require minimal safety advice to
ensure safe usage. For example, none of the Archiva inks require a
hazard classification within the EU system for labelling chemical
products.
- do not require special working conditions or ventilation.
They should be handled with the usual care and attention needed with
low hazard chemical products.
- are water-based odourless products. They do contain low levels
of solvents but the inks themselves are not flammable.
- contain extensively tested organic dyes that are proprietary
and have been registered worldwide.
- the dyes used in Archiva are what give the inks their superior
performance and are highly light-fast. Therefore, they are not readily
biodegradable but are highly soluble in water. This means that bioaccumulation
in freshwater organisms is not a concern. All other ingredients are
highly soluble in water and readily biodegradable.
- do not contain any metals that are environmentally sensitive
such as Chromium, Nickel, Cadmium etc.
- contain no chemicals known to cause carcinogenic or mutagenic
effects.
- are also low hazard as waste and it may be possible to dispose
of them down effluent drains. However, as with any chemical product,
this should only be done after consultation and agreement with your
local waste treatment company.
